Privacy Policy

Gallerya does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server. This policy exists to say exactly that, and to explain the two places where anything at all leaves your device.

Your photos and videos

Gallerya copies the media you choose from your Photos library onto a storage device you own and plug in. That copy goes to your drive and nowhere else. The app has no server, no cloud storage, and no upload path of any kind — the whole point of it is that your archive belongs to you.

To do that, the app asks for access to your photo library. It uses that access to read the originals it copies, and — only when you ask it to, from the Cleanup tab or the archive viewer — to delete items from Photos or add items back to it. Nothing is deleted without you selecting it and confirming.

What stays on your device

• Settings — what to include in a backup, reminder preferences, cleanup thresholds.
• A record of what has been backed up — filenames, dates, sizes, and content hashes, so a second backup can skip what the drive already holds.
• Thumbnails — small previews, written to your drive alongside the archive.

All of it is stored locally on your device or on your drive. None of it is sent anywhere.

The two exceptions

Checking for an update. Gallerya asks Apple’s public App Store lookup service (itunes.apple.com) whether a newer version has been published. The request contains the app’s bundle identifier and nothing else — no photo data, no identifier for you or your device. If it fails, the app carries on silently.

Purchases. Buying the full version or subscribing to Cleanup goes through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple handles the payment; the developer never sees your payment details, your name, or your Apple Account. Apple provides only aggregate sales figures. Apple’s handling of that transaction is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

What Gallerya does not do

• No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
• No advertising, and no tracking across apps or websites.
• No third-party SDKs.
• No data collected, sold, or shared with anyone.

Children

Gallerya is rated 4+ and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
